Join us for a day of grooming and shopping at this years DGAWA Spring Grooming Competition.
It’s all about local talent and local judges this year with Judges being our very own Pooch Perfect star Jacqui Ainsworth and Conformation Judge Eva Fekete.
“It is such an honour to be judging; I can’t wait to see everyone grooming with passion, as we all do.
I have been grooming now for about 18 years and I’m self taught. A passion for detail and a really lovely dog started me on my journey. I concentrated earlier on in the Conformation Show Ring with Poodles and Westie’s.
Six years ago a change of circumstances led me into grooming professionally and a handful of grooming competitions. Last year I was fortunate enough to to spend a month with the very talented groomers on Pooch Perfect.
I love sharing my knowledge with my fellow groomers in seminars; up skilling in this way has given me the opportunity to share my knowledge throughout Australia and online internationally. I hope we all continue to inspire each other and grow together in our passion of grooming 🥰
After falling in love with Lakeland Terrier’s and showing them from a young age I have been fortunate to work with many wonderful breeders and handlers who have encouraged, mentored, and entrusted me to condition and show other terrier breeds – namely Smooth Fox Terriers, Airedales, Kerry Blues, Wire Fox Terriers, Cairn, Welsh, and West Highland White Terriers.
I attained my judging license (ANKC) for the terrier group in 2013. I have since become eligible to also judge the Toy, Gundog, and Non-Sporting Groups. I am currently aspiring to judge the Hound Group.
As a dog show confirmation judge, I recognise the importance of a correctly presented dog and appreciate the time and skill that goes into the preparation and conditioning of their coats.
